Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent scratches produced on raceway surfaces during transit of bearings by forcing an inner ring and outer ring of a bearing in different directions to eliminate gaps in the bearing. CONSTITUTION:A bearing is clamped with a pair of bearing fixture panels 4, 9 and then adjust screw 6 is pulled out toward the right by turning a nut 7 and a locknut 8 to provide a spring 5 with tension. The fixture panel for inner ring 4 forces the inner ring 3 toward the right and the fixture panel for outer ring 9 forces the outer ring 2 toward the left by spring compression so that the inner ring 3 and outer ring 2 are forced in opposite directions each other. Therefore, free movement of rolling elements 1 between the inner 3 and outer 2 rings can be avoided because of no bearing gaps so that no scratches can be produced on raceway surfaces of the inner 3 and outer 2 rings.
