Abstract

PURPOSE: To apply double acting forces on to a working object by inserting a piston rod of the 2nd pressure receiving surface which is smaller than the 1st pressure receiving surface into a piston rod of the 4th pressure receiving surface which is smaller than the 3rd pressure receiving surface.
CONSTITUTION: An area of the pressure receiving surface 24a on the left-hand side of a piston 24 is larger than that on the right-hand side 36b of a piston 36. When the same fluid pressure is supplied through all the orifices for intake/ output of fluid pressure 16, 18, 20, both piston rods 22, 34 move simultaneously toward the right together owing to different pressures acting on both pressure receiving surfaces respectively. Movement of the 1st piston rod 22 toward the right stops upon the stopper 30 of the 1st piston rod 22 becoming in contact with the end plate 12 of the cylinder.
