Abstract
PURPOSE:To control any material to be worked to a proper temperature peculiar to it with a very high precision, by detecting the change of the organization state of the material to be worked, where a temperature change is given, to control the temperature in the warm or hot plastic molding of metallic materials. CONSTITUTION:One end of a material 1 to be worked is fixed by a chuck 2, and the other end is drawn in the direction of an arrow by a chuck 4, and simultaneously, power is supplied directly to the material 1 to be worked through chucks 2 and 4 by a heating power source 8 to heat the material 1 to be worked. When the change of the magnetic permeability of the material 1 accompanied with the rise of temperature is measured by a magnetism detector 11, the magnetic permeability is changed as shown in figure. This detection signal is diffentiated in a magnetism change point detecting circuit 12 to obtain a differential waveform. The occurrence of a rapid magnetism change in the material 1 is confirmed by this waveform, and a temperature T1 detected at this time by a temperature detector 10 is defined as a reference temperature. A slight energy is given to the material 1 properly in low and high speed to set the temperature to a proper temperature T2 for plastic working, and power supply from the power source 8 is stopped to perform the drawing work.
