Abstract
PURPOSE:To decrease the vibration of a swing bolster and a car body by a method wherein a throttling is changed by the pressure difference of the air spring and the inside of an air chamber of the swing bolster in proportion to the speed of vibration, and the more the vibration is sudden, the more the rate of vibration damping increases. CONSTITUTION:When the swing bolster 7 and an upper surface plate 3 of the air spring move in the arrow head 31 direction, the pressure of an air chamber 2 in the air spring increases in proportion to the speed of movement, the pressure of the air chamber 2' of the swing bolster 7 decreases, and differential pressure is generated, and a communicating cylinder 18 which is subject to the differential pressure by a communicating cylinder flange 21 is connected to an outer cylinder 12 by a diaphragm 22. Accordingly, the communicating cylinder 18 moves upward in proportion to the differential pressure, and stops at a balanced position with an elastic body 23. In this case, the larger the communicating cylinder 18 moves upward, the smaller the area of an air passage of the throttling 30 is because a central section of an inner surface 29 of the communicating cylinder is convex. Accordingly, the rate of vibration damping due to the throttling 30 increases.
