Abstract
PURPOSE:To convey slurry for sure even at the time of restarting when the cargo consisting of solid grains such as coal or the like is unloaded from a carrier ship by sending in slurry water to required spots via connecting pipes for floating solid grains. CONSTITUTION:When the cargo consisting of solid grains in a carrier ship 2 is unloaded onto a land installation, after all valves 6-9, and 10-13 provided on two pipelines 4 and 5 except valves 18 and 19 provided on connecting pipes 16 and 17 are released, a pump 14 is operated, and slurry water is supplied into the carrier ship 2 from the land installation 1 via the pipeline 5 for changing the cargo into slurry. Thereafter, when the slurry conveyance is restarted, required valves are opened or closed, and the pump 14 is operated.
