Abstract
PURPOSE:To use left and right screens divisionally in one picture display device, by arranging closely polarizing films, whose polarization axes are orthogonal to each other, alternately for every width of the bright line due to the horizontal sweep of a picture signal in the front of the picture display device. CONSTITUTION:Polarizing films 2 and 3 which have a width corresponding to the width of odd and even bright lines in the horizontal sweep of a television and are so arranged that their polarization axes are orthogonal to each other are mounted closely in the front of a cathode-ray tube 1. In case that left and right pictures are seen as a stereoscopical image, the user has a polarizing filter glasses, which consists of polarizing films having polarization axes opposite to each other, on his both eyes.
