Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a timer of a comparative long time limit by a simple circuit, by converting the charge accumulated in a capacitor to a pulse current synchronizing with supply voltage, and applying it to the gate of an Ac thyristor. CONSTITUTION:This timer is constituted so that to the base of a transistor 13, a pulse current of suitable phase is applied at its every semi-period against AC supply voltage. When a switch 9 is closed in this state, a capacitor 8 is charged at every 1 period in which forward voltage is applied to diodes 10, 7, is discharged at every semi-period through the gate of an AC thyristor 4 by the transistor 13, and almost constant potential is held at a place where the quantity of discharge and the quantity of charge are balanced. When the switch 9 is opened in this state, the capacitor 8 is not charged, and the AC thyristor 4 is turned on continuously for a constant interval of time, discharging the accumulated charge in order at every semi-period. According to such a constitution, it is possible to obtain a timer of a comparatively long time limit by a simple circuit.
