Abstract

PURPOSE:To improve the feeding efficiency of lubricating oil by a method wherein the direction of a leading-in port of lubricating oil provided in a sleeve is bored so as to direct to coincide with the direction of rotation of a driving shaft. CONSTITUTION:The driving shaft 33 coupled through a gear 37 with a propeller driving shaft is pivotally supported through an upper bearing 35 and a lower bearing 36 in the insert space in a lower case 32. The sleeve 66, at the lower end inside of which a spiral lead part 69 is so formed between the driving shaft 33 and the sleeve 66 that the rotation of the driving shaft 33 causes to feed lubricating oil toward the direction as indicated by double-dot-and-dash lines with an arrow, is provided between said respective bearings 35 and 36. The direction of the leading-in port of lubricating oil 70 provided in said sleeve 66 is bored so as to coincide with the direction of rotation of the driving shaft 33. Owing to the structure as just mentioned above, the feeding efficiency of lubricating oil can be improved.
