Abstract

PURPOSE:To increase the amount of heat exchange by increasing the heat transfer coefficient of a heat transferring fluid by a method wherein a fluid injecting nozzle is provided on the inlet side of heat transferring fluid pipe and the velocity of the heat transferring fluid flowing toward a heat receiving fluid pipe is increased. CONSTITUTION:The heat receiving fluid pipe 2 is passed through the high or low temperature heat transferring fluid pipe 1 and the fluid injecting nozzle 3 adopted to increase temporarily the velocity of the heat transferring fluid is provided on the inlet side of the pipe 1 with respect to the pipe 2 so that the nozzle 3 faces the pipe 2. With the above structure, the velocity of the heat transferring fluid flowing toward the pipe 2 is accelerated by the force of injection of a fluid from the nozzle 3 so that the heat transferring fluid at an accelerated velocity runs against the wall of the pipe 2 made of steel and the heat transfer coefficient of the fluid with respect to the pipe 2 is increased to thereby increase the amount of heat exchange between the heat transferring and heat receiving fluids.
