Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain the FRP filament without causing cutting of a filament and a high line speed, by bunching thermosetting resin impregnated fibers of continuous length, then forming and heat curing them through the heating and moving tool for forming which runs to the same direction as said fibers.
CONSTITUTION: An aimed FRP filament is obtained e.g. by bunching plural fibers of continuous length 2 (e.g. glass fiber etc.) impregnated with thermosetting resin 1 (e.g. epoxy resin etc.), then guiding them to the moving tool 3 for forming which runs contacting said fiber to the same direction, passing and forming them through the hole of a peripheral arc which is shaped by the peripheral groove 6 of a forming roll 4 and the peripheral groove 6' of a moving belt and heating by heating devices 8, 9 (e.g. gas burner etc.), curing the resin 1 which impregnates fibers of continuous length 2. Also, it is preferable that the forming roll and the moving belt are made form metal.
EFFECT: An apparatus is low cost and economical.
