PURPOSE:To increase the amount of molten slag in molten steel making slag and to facilitate the recovery of sensible heat of the slag by adding red mud, slate, shale, slag, sandstone or the like to the steel making slag to reduce the viscosity. CONSTITUTION:By adding >=1 kind of material selected from red mud, slate, shale, slag, sandstone, waste molding sand, clay and dust to molten steel making slag, the viscosity of the slag is reduced, the solidification temp. is dropped, the amount of surface hardened slag and ladle surface slag is decreased, and the amount of molten slag is increased. The molten slag is then discharged or formed into pseudo pellets, and sensible heat of the slag is easily recovered.
