Abstract
PURPOSE: To arbitrary variable-control the generation of pulse laser output at high peak value and peak value, pulse width, generation periode, etc. thereof with a devie contrived to be miniturized, by utilizing negative resistance characteristic of a laser discharge tube.
CONSTITUTION: A pulse power source, m-multiple voltage rectifying circuit and laser discharge tube are equipped. In other words, high frequency pulse trains are intermittently outputted to be boosted and rectified via the multiple voltage rectifying circuit 5 being directly impressed on a laser tube 7 with pulse laser light at high peak value utilizing negative resistance characteristic thereof. The trains set the number of multiple voltage steps of the multiple voltage rectifying circuit 5 ar 3 or more and the secondary wiring voltage Vh of a high frequency transformer 3 at approx. 1/2 or less of operating voltage Vd for the laser tube 7 with stable glow discharge. Besides the duration of pulse train constituted of high frequency pulse are varied to variable-control the pulse width of pulse laser light and peak value thereof.
