Abstract
PURPOSE:To smoothly accelerate and decelerate an expansion fork at a high speed and obtain a good stop accuracy by providing a roller which is brought into pressure contact with each rotary shaft of a fixed fork and an end fork and which can rotate around an axis crossing at right angles with the axis of the rotary shafts. CONSTITUTION:When an electric motor 4 is started, a rotary shaft 3 of a fixed fork 2 is rotated by a V-belt 6, and a roller 11 of an intermediate fork 7 is rotated by the rotary shaft 3 to rotate a rotary shaft 19 of an end fork 18 by the roller 11. Since the roller 11 is placed at a very small angle, the intermediate fork 7 starts sliding in the longitudinal direction, and the end fork 18 starts sliding in the same direction as the intermediate fork 7, too. Subsequently, a cam roller 13 is moved along an oblique side of a cam plate 17a, so that the angle alpha of the roller 11 becomes larger and the sliding speed of the intermediate fork 7 and the end fork 18 gradually becomes higher. When the cam roller 13 separates from the oblique side of the cam plate 17a, the sliding speed of the intermediate fork 7 and the end fork 18 becomes constant.
