Abstract
PURPOSE: To provide a hollow yarn type treating device for body fluid which is free from sticking of blood on the fixed end faces of the openings of hollow yarn and from coagulation of blood by providing organopolysiloxane films on said end faces.
CONSTITUTION: A vessel 1 of the above-described treating device consists of many pieces of hollow yarn 2 adhered and fixed to fixed end faces 3, 4 as well as organopolysiloxane films 7, 8 provided to fixed end faces 5, 6. Header chambers 9, 10 constituted of blood ports 11, 12 and covers 13, 14 are provided to both ends of the vessel 1. Blood is introduced through an inlet 15 and is discharged through an outlet 16. The dialyzate is supplied through an inlet 17 and is discharged through an outlet 18. Organopolysiloxane of crosslinking type in particular is ideally suited for the organopoysiloxane to be applied upon said end faces 5, 6 because it has good adhesive strength to the end faces 5, 6 and is good of film formation, is free from sticking of blood and has excellent antiblood-coagulation property.
