Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a long life of a light source and a good copy without controlling intensity of the light source by giving a plural number of color separation filters in a light path from the light source to a photosensitive body an optical transmittance inversely proportional to spectral sensitivity of the photosensitive body for each color. CONSTITUTION:When in a color electronic copying machine by exposing a picture manuscript on a manuscript table 1 with a light source 2 and by developing with toner 9a, 9b and 9c using corresponding color separation filters 4a, 4b and 4c a colored image is obtained. Filters with optical transmittances inversely proportional to spectral sensitivities for respective colors of a photosensitive layer 7a on the photosensitive body are used. Through the process, without a necessity to change illumination of the light source 2 in responce to each color, an electrostatic latent image with an amount of electrification corresponding to each color density is formed on the photosensitive layer 7a. Thus, a color image faithful to a manuscript is obtained. Further since the light source 2 is not required to change illumination, the life is lengthened and complex control is unnecessary.
