Abstract

PURPOSE:To compensate the measuring device in response to a reference input, by automatically compensating the multiplying factor of a multiplier. CONSTITUTION:When a vacant container is placed on a measuring pan 1, the total weight of the pan and the container is held 4 as a tare weight M1 through a transducer 2 and an A/D converter 3. When a reference weight Ws is placed on the pan 1, a value M2 is outputted from the converter 3. The computed value M2-M1 is outputted from a substractor 5. Meanwhile, the value of Ws is set in a reference value generator 8 in correspondence with the reference weight Ws. With the multiplying factor of the multiplier as 1, the output of the subtractor 5 is sent to a comparator 9 and compared with the reference weight Ws. Then the multiplying factor alpha is determined and held by a sensitivity holding circuit 10. In this way, the multiplier 6 is operated with the multiplying factor alpha in the succeeding measurements.
