Abstract

PURPOSE:To make it difficult to expose liquid drops to the seal corner side while facilitating manufacture of an oil seal by providing axial irregularities at positions spaced about 0.02-1mm. from a meeting portion of oil surface corner side and seal corner side of a seal lip. CONSTITUTION:A meeting portion 4 of the oil surface corner side B and seal corner side A in a seal lip 3 formed of rubber 2 attachably baked to a reinforcing ring 1 is rounded, said seal corner side B being formed with a plurality of approximately axial irregularities 5. The front edge of these irregularities 5 is spaced approximately 0.02-1mm. from the meeting portion.
