Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the denaturation of substances being mixed due to permeation by using a plastic packing which has resistances to the permeation of substances being mixed and also to plastic deformation in a mixer container in which viscous substances, e.g., rubber, plastics, etc., are mixed. CONSTITUTION:A through hole 2 through which a rotary shaft 3 is thrust is provided in the side wall 1 of a container, and a rotary blade 5 is provided inside the container of the shaft 3. The through hole 2 is inserted with a packing 6 of a cylindrical form which is impervious to substances being mixed and of small coefficient of friction, e.g., of fluorine-containing resins, nylon, etc. The outside end face 10 of the packing 6 is pressed inwards in the axial direction by a packing gland 7 and thereby the end face 10 and pressed face of the packing are inclinded, whereby dividing the pressing force of a bolt 12 into a force by which the packing is pressed toward a tiered plane 4 and a force by which the packing is pressed toward the inner surface 2 of the through hole.
