Abstract

PURPOSE: To obtain a pellet fuel, having a high calorific value, easily handleable, and scarcely causing pollution in combustion at a low cost, by finely crushing a waste paper, kneading the crushed paper with water and an alkali, and pelletizing the resultant paste.
CONSTITUTION: A waste paper , e.g. newspaper or various kinds of printing paper or packaging paper, is finely crushed in a crusher, and kneaded with water and an alkali, e.g. NaOH or Na2CO3, in an agitator, and the resultant paste is then pelletized in a granulator.
EFFECT: Neither use of a setting agent, e.g. cement, nor need of a centrifuge.
