If the measuring probe 1a is contacted to a reference block D, three switches in the measuring head 1 are instantaneously opened, and pulse voltage is oscillatorily output from the transmitter 2, converted into infrared rays by its transmitting sensor 3 and transmitted. In this way, a contact signal generated from the measuring probe 1a is fed to a data processor J almost without time delay, and the processor J reads coordinate values of each measurement reference scale Sx, Sy, Sz of X, Y, Z with timing of said signal.
