Abstract

PURPOSE:To correct the level-down of information regenerative signals in the inner circumference of a recording carrier by controlling the oscillating output of the semiconductor laser in response to control signals correlating to the level of reflected light from the recording carrier. CONSTITUTION:Beams C reflected from a disk are changed into FM signals corresponding to a video synchronous signal component through an optical detector 9, a pre-amplifier 10 and a band-pass filter 11, and the envelope level of the FM signals is detected by means of an AM detector 12. The output of the detector 12 and the reference voltage of a reference voltage source 13 are compared by means of a comparator 14, and the comparison output is given to a power amplifier 7 through a low-pass filter 15 as the control signals of the oscillating output. Accordingly, the power of the oscillating output of the semiconductor laser is controlled so that the regenerative signals obtain a level in the same extent as the outer circumference even when laser beam spots are positioned at any location of the disk 7.
