Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the exfoliation of press-fixed layer by absorption of thermal stresses in a welded structural body of different kind of metals by providing grooves having arc-shaped bottoms on the side faces of a press contacting material. CONSTITUTION:If a press contacting plate 11 of a press contacting material 1 is a member of high deformation property by welding, grooves 15 having arc- shaped bottoms are beforehand provided in the weld line direction of the positions apart from a press-fixed layer 13 prior to formation of weld metals 3 by welding or the like. However, if the weld metals 3 are formed, the angular deformation in the end parts of the plate 11 is generated only on the upper side with the bottom surfaces of the grooves 15 as centers, that is, on the surface side of the plate 11 and the exfoliation bordering at the layer 13 is obviated. If both of the plates 11, 12 of the material 1 are members of large deformation property by welding, grooves are beforehand provided to each of both members and the weld metals 3 and 5 are formed. Thereby, the exfoliation phenomenon bordering at the layer 13 which is likely to be caused by welding at four places is prevented.
