Abstract
PURPOSE:To distinctly observe an information display even under a bright outside scene, by placing a dimming element whose transmittivity is varied in accordance with intensity of light, in a position which is outside of an information display optical path and is inside of a finder optical path. CONSTITUTION:An outside scene luminous flux which has passed through a zoom lens 20 is divided into a finder luminous flux and a photographing luminous flux by a half-mirror prism 21. This photographing luminous flux further passes through a diaphragm 22 and a master lens 23, and forms an image on a film surface 24. On the other hand, a dimming element 25 whose transmittivity is varied in accordance with intensity of light is placed in a position which is outside of said outside scene luminous flux and inside of the finder luminous flux, and the optical path is directed to the eyepiece part through an objective lens 26 by a half mirror 29. According to such a constitution, when brightness of the outside scene is varied, transmittivity of the dimming element is varied in accordance with said variation, therefore, an information display can be observed distinctly even under a bright outside scene.
