Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent damage of an engine and overheat of its exhaust device, by performing excess fuel correction of injection to mixture ratio of engine deceleration when a car tends to exceed a limited speed and preventing the car from exceeding the limited speed. CONSTITUTION:A rotary speed sensor 2 and air flow meter 4 are povided to an internal combustion engine 1. On the basis of output of a control unit 6 setting a required fuel value of an engine in accordance with an engine operational condition, a fuel injection valve 5 is operated. When a car tends to exceed its limited speed through output of a car speed sensor 10, excess fuel correction is performed to a mixture ratio level of the engine decelerating from a requirement fuel set value at the time of limited speed, and output to the fuel injection valve 5. In this way, the car speed can be held to not higher than the limited speed wile preventing damage of the engine and overheat of its exhaust device.
