Abstract

PURPOSE:To easily erase a large image area in a short time, by applying a correction base, made by forming a silicon rubber layer on one side of a support and an adhesive layer on the other side, to a print face or a blanket. CONSTITUTION:A silicone rubber layer is formed on one side of a flexible support, such as paper, plastic film, or metallic foil. This layer is formed by diluting into a solvent a silicone rubber composition consisting of linear organopolysiloxane, and when needed, a cross-linking agent represented by Rm.Si.Xn (m+n=4, R is alkyl, vinyl, or aryl, and X is an organic functional group), and a catalyst, coating this solution, drying and curing it. A primer layer may be provided between the silicone rubber layer and the support. As the adhesive layer provided on the other side of the support, an adhesive tape usually sold at a market is used.
