Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain high thermal efficiency all the year round by providing a vertically movable heat insulation plate in parallel with a sheet of glass in a flat box type water tank whose upper surface is enclosed with the pane of glass and by providing a depth adjustable heat receiving chamber on the heat insulation plate. CONSTITUTION:A heat insulation plate 12 is contained in a flat box type water tank 1 in parallel with a sheet of glass 2 which encloses the upper surface of the flat box type cistern 1. The surface of this heat insulation plate 12 is formed in a black color, side width of which is formed close to a side wall 3 of the water tank 1 in a position as closed as possible and the upper side and the lower side of the inside of the cistern 1 are provided with a heat receiving chamber 15 and a water reservoir 16 respectively. Vertical movement of the heat insulation plate 12 is made possible by a push-pull operation of a connecting lever 21 through an arm 20 and a cam 18, and adjustment of a depth of the heat receiving chamber is made possible. Then, radiation to the open air resulting from over-heating is prevented and heat collecting efficiency is improved by shifting the depth of the heat insulation plate 12 in accordance with the warm season and the cold season.
