Abstract

PURPOSE:To make the temperature of an automobile room high at its lower part but low at its upper part, by providing an air guide on the air mix damper of an automobile air conditioner and another air guide in its cool air by-pass to conduct cool air to the central region of a passage and by providing still another air guide downstream to a heater core to conduct warm air to the peripheral region of the passage. CONSTITUTION:When air is simultaneously blown off from both of the upper blownoff port 6 and lower blowoff port 10 of an air conditioner, dampers 7, 11 are open. A main cool air stream, which has passed through an evaporator 2 and is to flow through a by-pass 5, is conducted to the central region of the by-pass by an air guide 12 on an air mix damper 4 and then conducted to the central region of an air mix passage 14 by an air guide 13. Warm air having passed through a heater core 3 is conducted to both the lower side regions of the passage 14 by an air guide 15. Although the cool air and the warm air are both conducted into the passage 14, the cool air flows through its central part but the warm air flows through its peripheral part so that they are only little mixed with each other, the cool air is sent to the upper blowoff port 6 and the warm air is sent to the lower blowoff port 10. For that reason, the temperature of the room of a vehicle is made high at its lower part but low at its upper part.
