Abstract
PURPOSE:To ensure the balance of a rotor with high accuracy and high efficiency, by deciding the out-of-allowance of the rotor residual vibration according to the number of revolutions and the bearing vibration to read out the modal effect coefficient and then calculating and setting the balance correcting weighting coefficient. CONSTITUTION:The number of revolutions is detected by a revolution detector 5 for turbine rotors 1 and 2 plus a generator rotor 3 respectively. The vibrations of bearings 41-46 are detected by a sensor 61 of each bearing and a vibration detector 6. A vibration analyzer 7 to which the detection output of the detector 5 is applied extracts the unbalanced vibration component synchronous with the number of revolutions. Then the question whether or not the residual vibration is within the allowable value is decided by a deciding device 8. In case the unbalanced vibration component is excessive and out of the allowable value, an operator 10 forming a computer reads out the modal effect coefficient showing the relation between the modal mass and the vibration out of a storage device 9 and then calculates and decides the balance correcting weight coefficient through the minimum square operation, etc. to delover the coefficient to an input/output device 11 such as a teletypewriter, a CRT, etc. In the same way, the balance is repetitively corrected to ensure the balance of a rotor with high accuracy and high efficiency.
