Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the flow of spring water from a high-level paddy field to a low-level paddy field by a method in which a sand-packed hole is formed between a paddy field formed on a low-level ground's surface and a road or paddy field higher than the low-level paddy field, and spring water is imbibed in and flowed out of the sand-packed hole. CONSTITUTION:An old stratum 1 is treated to form a newly constructed stratum 2. The surface of rockbed 8 below the old stratum 1 is exposed, and compressed water is cut and then flowed out to the surface layer 2 of the ground by the pressure 5 of a road 8 and a paddy field 9 located at higher levels. Accordingly, to discharge the spring water 4 to the ground's surface in its way to a low-level paddy field 11, a hole 12 is excavated and packed with sand and the spring water is imbibed in and flowed out of the hole 12 to U-shaped trench 15, etc.
