Abstract
PURPOSE: To collect a metallic element in dust by saving resources and with high efficiency percentage, by granulating the dust of a metal smelting furnace, reducing and fusing it by produced gas of a shaft smelting furnace, separating it from slag, and separately utilizing the latent heat of high temperature gas of the smelting furnace.
CONSTITUTION: Dust produced from a metal smelting furnace is granulated to pellets. Dust pellets and coke are charged into a shaft smelting furnace 1, the coke is burnt by blowing in hot blast from a tuyere 3, and high temperature reduction gas is produced. The pellets are reduced and converted to an alloy in the course of going down in the furnace 1, is separated from slag in a separating chamber 2, and is collected from a pouring gate 21. On the other hand, high temperature gas going up in the furnace 1 is led into one of metal preheating vessels 5, 6, is burnt by air in the vessels 5, 6, becomes a higher temperature, and preheats a material. Radiated gas is discharged into the atmosphere through a heat exchanger 7 and a dust collector 8, and an accelerator which has passed through a blower 10 and the heat exchanger 7, for instance, hot blast is sent to the tuyere 3.
