Abstract
PURPOSE:To form a weld zone of superior mechanical properties such as bending characteristics and corrosion resistance by disposing silver or silver alloy in the part which is the weld zone of stainless steel and copper or copper alloy and performing welding. CONSTITUTION:An Ag plate or Ag alloy plate 3 is placed between a stainless steel base metal 1 and a Cu or Au alloy base metal 2, and an electron beam is irradiated with slight deviation to the position on the metal 2 side of higher heat conductivity. In this way, the metal 1, the plate 3 and the metal 2 are melted simultaneously, whereby the weld metal contg. Ag is formed and the metals 1, 2 are welded.
