Abstract

PURPOSE: To detect the position of a rolling stock accurately, by providing two receiving coils on the rolling stock so as to face an induction wire wherein the non- radiating part of an electromagnetic wave is provided, comparing the received outputs obtained by two receiving coils, and detecting the position of the rolling stock.
CONSTITUTION: The electromagnetic wave, which is radiated from the radiation part of the induction wire wherein a plurality of non-radiating parts are provided, is detected by two receiving coils RC1 and RC2 which are arranged so that the distance between them is slightly larger than the width of the non-radiation parts. The received output of one receiving coil RC1 is amplified A1 and compared CP with the signal which is obtained by synthesizing the received output of the other receiving coil RC2, which is amplified A2 and detected DET, and a bias voltage Eb. The result is detected EDT2, and the output corresponding to the non-radiating part of the induction wire is obtained.
