Abstract
PURPOSE:To prevent the surface to be machined from generating tearing-off by a method wherein aluminum or aluminum alloys are machined at the higher temperature than the specified one and within the specified temperature range. CONSTITUTION:Aluminum or aluminum alloys are machined at no less than 100 deg.C and not exceeding the temperature lower than their melting point by 50 deg.C. Within the temperature range as mentioned above, the cutting speed limits for generating tearing-off of the surface to be machined recedes from the conventional cutting speed range and, for example, even when the cutting speed is low, tearing-off does not generate on the surface to be machined and a smooth and fine machined surface is obtained.
