Abstract
PURPOSE:To check the bonding status by comparing an image pickup signal of an IC pellet with a previously memorized standard pattern, checking a pad to which a wire is bonded, and then computing the central value of a ball and the central value of the pad with respect to the pad. CONSTITUTION:A black and white pattern of the pellet 2 whose image is picked up 3 is coded into a binary value 6. The wire 5 having the optimum diameter is bonded to the pad 4 at the optimum position, and the standard pattern S is this case is coded into the binary values and the signals are stored in the device 6 in advance.
