Abstract
PURPOSE: The titled stabilized molded article, prepared by mixing boric anhydride and carboxymethyl cellulose with a composition containing chlorinated isocyanuric acid, e.g. powder, essentially, and pressure molding the resultant mixture, and capable of showing the property of rapidly and finely disintegrating in water.
CONSTITUTION: 100pts.wt. composition contaning powdery or granular chlorinate isocyanuric acid having a particle diameter of 20W1,400μ essentially is mixed with 0.3W10pts.wt. fine particulate boric anhydric having a particle diameter of 70W3,000μ and 0.05W10pts.wt. powdery carboxymethyl cellulose (abbreviated to CMC) having a particle diameter of 20W200μ, and the resultant mixture is then pressure molded by the usual pressure molding method. CMC having a polymerization degree of 50W100 and a substitution degree of 0.35W0.6 may be used, and the mixing ratio between the boric anhydride and CMC is preferably 1: (0.3W3.0). The resultant composition can be stored stably without the deterioration in storage for a long term in an enclosed container, and useful for purifying sewage.
