Abstract
PURPOSE:To adjust the inclination angle, the magnification, and the focus of a solid image sensor independently of one another, by providing a means, which regulates the rotation of a cylindrical lens unit and a barrel, and a means, which regulates the movement of them in the direction of the optical axis, separately from each other. CONSTITUTION:A barrel 26 cannot be rotated because it is engaged with a key projecting part 28 of a scanning table 8. Even when a hexagon setscrew 34, a nut 33, and a hexagon setscrew 39 are loosened to change the length between a solid image sensor 54 and an original for the purpose of adjusting the focus and the magnification, the inclination angle of the solid image sensor 43 in the subscanning direction is not shifted. For the purpose of adjusting the inclination angle, a hexagon setscrew 45 and a fixed screw 60 are loosened. Then, a hood 42 is released from the barrel 26, and a supporting member 56 is rotated for the barrel 26. Under this state, when a bolt 50 is rotated, a hood 42 engaged with the bolt 50 is rotated also, and the inclination angle is adjusted.
