Abstract
PURPOSE:To cancel an unreversible phase component due to magnetic strain by providing the 1st circularly-polarized-wave generator, a Faraday rotator, a 180 deg. plate formed by combining dielectrics differing in dielectric constant, the 2nd Faraday rotator, and a circularly-polarized-wave generator in a radio-wave propagation direction. CONSTITUTION:A 180 deg. plate 9 is formed by combining dielectrics 11 and 12 differing in dielectric constant and then coating the side surfaces of the dielectrics, which are, for example, columnar, with metal. Faraday rotator 8 and 10 to be arranged at both ends of the plate 9 are each constituted by arranging yokes 3 on the side surfaces of a ferrimagnetic material 1 coated with metal, and then winding the magnetic material 1 or yokes 3 with a conductor 2 for magnetization in the opposite directions between the rotator 8 and 10. At both the ends on the side surfaces of the magnetic material 1, circularly polarized- wave generators 6 and 7 are arranged so that the N and S poles of permanent magnet plates 5 are opposed and in prescribed directions. Thus, the generator 6, rotator 8, 180 deg. plate 9, rotator 10, and generator 7 are arranged in order to cancel an unreversible phase component due to magnetic strain.
