Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent lowering of percentage of content of noncharging particles such as a pigment, etc., in a formed paint film, by making a paint flow along a metallic material in its advancing direction, at the same speed as the advancing speed, in case of electrodeposition painting of the metallic material.
CONSTITUTION: In an electrodeposition bath 1, a liquid flow providing device 6 which consists of an insulator such as a vinyl chloride cylinder 6a, etc., and has provided in parallel plural jet nozzles 6a directed in the advancing direction of a metallic plate 3, on its tip, around a place where the metallic plate 3 advances between electrode plates 5. From said each jet nozzle 6b, an electrodeposition paint 2 is jetted and is made to flow along the metallic plate 3. A flow-out speed from the jet nozzle 6b is adjusted so that a speed of the paint 2 after this jetting and a shifting speed of the metallic plate 3 become within about 0.4m/sec. Also, this constitution is made so that the flow becomes a laminar flow state between the metallic plate 3 and the electrode plate 5, and also it flows at a uniform speed in the width direction. In this way, it is possible to make the paint containing the noncharging particles of a prescribed quantity, and electrodeposition painting can be performed at a high speed.
