Abstract

PURPOSE:To perfectly eliminate frictional force between a pipe material and a mandrel and to stabilize a rolling, by fixing the mandrel with stepped sizes, large in diameter only in a range of receiving directly contact pressing force from a mill roll, to the rolling position by a restricting device. CONSTITUTION:A mandrel 11, formed of such constitution that its part located just beneath grooved rolls 1-1-1-n and related to the rolling of a pipe material 12 has large diameter and another part located in the intermediate part not related to the rolling has small diameter, is fixed to a restriction device 13 with a flange 15 in order not to move in the direction of rolling.
