Abstract

PURPOSE:To prevent the temperature drop of a liquid for test and the disturbance of a luminous flux at the time of photometry and to make an accurate analysis by a method wherein the thermostatic liquid method offering an excellent heating effect is adopted, while the direct photometric method for a reflection vessel for the material other than the thermostatic liquid. CONSTITUTION:A test liquid 8 comprising a sample and a reagent contained in a reaction vessel 6 is agitated by foam generated in the test liquid 8 by air injected into the vessel from an air pump 11 through a leg 6-1 in the position of agitation. The liquid then reacts at the predetermined temperature because of the action of a liquid thermostatic tank 10, and is transferred to the photometric position. At the photometric position, the test liquid 8 is sucked by a liquid suction pump 12 from the leg 6-1 and held at this position once. The liquid in this state is examined by a photometric apparatus 13, before being discharged. Upon completion of photometry, the vessel 6 is sent to the place where it is cleaned and dried by connecting a rinse suction pump 14 to the leg 6-1, while the rinsing liquid is supplied to the vessel from a leg 6-2.
