Abstract

PURPOSE:To enhance degree of unrestraint of terminals installation to a stabilizer for electric-discharge lamp by a method wherein molded covers are provided to cover the surfaces of a laminated core around coils, and terminal plates are positioned and arranged on the surfaces of the covers. CONSTITUTION:The figure shows an exploded view of the stabilizer for electric-discharge lamp looked from an oblique direction. The stabilizer main body is constituted of the laminated core 1 being wound with coils 2. The insulating covers 3 are resin molded articles, and crooked side pieces 4 are formed at both ends of nearly -shaped frame type parts 5, and grooves 8 formed by ribs 6 and convex parts 7 are provided on the surfaces of the frame type parts 5. A conducting part 13 and terminals 14 are integrated in one body to form crooked terminal plates 9, 10, 11, 12. The surfaces and both end parts of the laminated core 1 are covered with covers 3, and the terminal plates 9, 10, 11, 12 are equipped to the grooves 8 of the covers 3. Terminal parts 14 of the terminal plates are provided protruding on the sides of the stabilizer main body, and lead out wires 15 from the coils 2 are soldered to the portions of the terminal plates.
