Abstract

PURPOSE:To enable to maintain the relative position between a fixed scroll and a moving scroll constant by a structure wherein the moving scroll providing scroll vanes on both its sides is held between the two fixed scrolls, between which a distant piece is interposed. CONSTITUTION:The respective moving vanes 2 serving as the scroll vanes are provided on both the sides of one moving side plate 4. The fixed side plate 3 is made of thin plate, except a fixing part 17, a flange 20 and its central part, so as to obtain low axial rigidity. Accordingly, even if the difference between the amount of expansion of the center sleeve 12 serving as the distant piece and the amount of expansion at an outer peripheral part occurs due to the difference between the temperature at the central part and that at the outer peripheral part, the axial deformation of the fixed side plates 3 occurs easily. When the thermal expansion coefficient of a sleeve 13 is employed so as to be equal to that of the center sleeve 12, the distance between the two fixed side plates also changes in the same manner and the clearances between the tip of the fixed vane 1 and the moving side plate 4 and between the tip of the moving vanes 2 and the fixed side plates 3 keep nearly constant regardless of temperature conditons, resulting in enabling to select the most suitable value for the clearance.
