Abstract

PURPOSE:To print frosted image on a plastic plate cheaply by following process in which frosted image is printed on a plastic film with special property, and the plastic film having said frosted image on its under side is hot pressed on the thermoplastic plate. CONSTITUTION:Frosted image composed of fine roughness 24 is formed on a plastic film 1 (e.g. polyester film) having higher melting point, higher hardness at hot pressing and lower affinity than a thermoplastic plate 3 (e.g. polycarbonate plate, polyvinyl chloride plate) on which frosted image will be printed. Next, the plastic film having said frosted image on its under side is arranged on the thermoplastic plate 3, and they are hot-pressed through a cushion member 5 by using a press plate 6. After hot pressing, the film is separated from the plastic plate 3, thereby the frosted image is printed on the plastic plate 3.
