Abstract

PURPOSE:To give an alarm by means of a circuit which measures the specific gravity by detecting any drop of electromotive force from a specified value, together an electrolyte levl detecting circuit, and by arranging those data to be indicated either with one indicating lamp or with two indicating lamps separately. CONSTITUTION:A series circuit consisting of a constant voltage element 3 such as a Zener diode and voltage dividing resistors 4, 5 is connected across the terminals of a storage battery to be detected. A circuit which detects the drop from a specified value of a electromotive force varying with variation of electrolyte specific gravity under no load of the storage battery is set up by connecting an amplifier 6, an electrolyte level detecting electrode 2 is connected with the amplifier 6 to detect the falling down of an electrolyte level. The resistor 5 is used for regulating the voltage across the resistor 4. These conditions are indicated with indicators 7, 7' such as LED. These process are applied to the storage batteries for a car and a motorcycle in order to generate an alarm easily.
