Abstract

PURPOSE:To perform testing with min. required impulse voltages without damaging insulation to ground by disconnecting the one coil nearest the line side from other coils, applying the impulse voltages between conductors and an iron core and performing a layer test. CONSTITUTION:In the case of applying an impulse voltage E0 simultaneously to all coils with respect to a coil group 1 of single pole and single phase nearest the line side, about >=50% voltage is shared to the coil 3 at the applied end of the voltage. Hence, it is satisfactory to apply the shared voltage E1 lower than E0 independently to the coil 3 and to apply the E2 lower than the E0 independently to the remaining coil group 4. Hence, it is possible to select the min. required inpulse voltage value and to verify the reliability of the dielectric strength between turns sufficiently without damaging the insultion to ground by disconnectig the one coil neareset the line side from the other coils, applying the impulse voltage between the conductors and an iron core separately from the other coil groups and performing layer tests.
