Abstract
PURPOSE:To avoid damage to be inflicted to a ship's hull by the contact of a feder with projections by using a fender in which an elastomer with force buckling grooves is attached to an impact receiving plate radially from its center, and the elastomer is attached to a fender contact equipment in such a way as to eliminate the directivity of deformation in the shearing direction. CONSTITUTION:A take-down type fender consists of an impact receiving plate 4 and an elastomer 5. The impact receiving plate 4 is of a circular or oblong form, and the elastomer 5 is made up of a flange made of an uniform thick (t) oblong plate with force buckling grooves 7 and a fitting metal 6 having web w on its sides. The elastomer 5 is attached to the circular impact receiving plate 4 radially from its center to built up a take-down type fender.
