Abstract

PURPOSE: To prevent the increase of dust concentration of treating gas, by introducing a heat accumulating body obtained in the first heat exchanger into the second heat exchanger after bringing the body into contact with heated air to peel off attached dust in a preliminary step.
CONSTITUTION: Waste gas 2 from a coal-fired boiler 1 is introduced into the first heat exchanger 12 through an electrostatic precipitator 3, a denitration apparatus 5, and an air preheater 7. Waste gas 13 reduced to low temperature in the exchanger 12 enters the second heat exchanger 16 through a wet waste gas treating apparatus 14 and is reheated to be discharged into the atmosphere from a chimney 18.
