Abstract

PURPOSE:To plan to reduce the diameter thereof and miniaturize it by a method wherein a field core, a first and second rotary members are arranged in the same axial line and an armature is incorporated into the flange of the first rotary member attractably magnetically. CONSTITUTION:The field core 3 is arranged at one side of a hub 2 for the output rotor 1. The field core 3 is an annular member having an outer pole 3B and an inner pole 3A while an electromagnetic coil 7 is accommodated within an annular groove 6 opened at the side of the hub 2. The annular armature 10 is accommodated within a peripheral groove formed by an annular member 8 secured to the hub 2 and the flange 2A of the hub 2. One terminal 12A of a coil spring 12 for tightening by winding is retained in a notch 11 formed on the armature 10 while the other terminal 12B of the same 12 is retained in the hole 14 of an input rotor 13 rotatably and coaxially supported at the neighborhood of the hub 2.
