Abstract
PURPOSE:The titled material capable of providig sintered bodies excellent in foaming property, water penetration, particle separation performance, etc., by sulfonating a polyolefin resin powder having a specified particle diameter. CONSTITUTION:A polyolefin resin powder, particle diameter 50-500mu, such as Pt, PP or polybutene, is sulfonated with a sulfonating agent such as fuming sulfuric acid or chlorosulfonic acid to an exchange equivalence of 0.005-0.5meq/ g. EFFECT:A hydrophilicity effect does not decrease much and is stable for a long time when a sintered product obtained from the material is used as a foaming material, filter medium, ink roller or the like, because chemically bonded hydrophilic groups are introduced by sulfonation.
