PURPOSE:To improve the ventilation efficiency of a rotary electric machine by mounting a ventilation guide cover for covering the pole end at the end of a rotor, and setting the outer diameter of the cover by 30-70% of the distance between the rotor yoke and the stator, thereby reducing the projecting property of the pole. CONSTITUTION:In a rotor having poles 4 on the outer periphery of a yoke 3 and flowing cooling air axially between the poles 4, a ventilation guide cover 12 for covering the ends of the poles 4 is mounted at the end face of the yoke 3.
